Classification and Characteristics of Room Temperature Vulcanized Silicone Rubber

The main difference between room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber and high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is that the former is based on polysiloxane with a smaller molecular weight, which can be vulcanized into an elastomer under the action of a crosslinking agent and a catalyst at room temperature or with a little heating. Room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is composed of base rubber, crosslinking agent, catalyst, filler, etc. It can be divided into one-component and two-component from the packaging form.

4. Methyl-block room temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber

Methyl-block room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber has the properties of shockproof, moisture resistance, waterproof, breathable, ozone resistance, weathering resistance, weak acid and weak alkali resistance. It has good electrical insulating properties, good adhesion, and its cost is low.

5. Methyl room temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber

Methyl room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is an old variety of general-purpose silicone rubber, which has the advantages of water resistance, ozone resistance, arc resistance, corona resistance and weathering resistance.

6. Methyl biphenyl room temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber

In addition to the excellent properties of methyl room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber, methyl biphenyl room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber has a wider temperature range compared with methyl room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber.
