Preparation and Application of Amino Silicone Fluid

Amino silicone oil is a basic ingredient specially used in textile softening finishing agents. It has the best adsorption, compatibility and easy emulsification properties. Using a mixer or homogenizer, amino silicone oils are easily emulsified into stable, transparent microemulsions with appropriate surfactants. It can be used alone or combined with other silicone or organic softeners to become a special softening finishing agent, which is suitable for softening the finishing of various textiles.

Ⅰ. Amino silicone oil is the basic ingredient specially used for textile softening and finishing agent

It has the best adsorption, compatibility and easy emulsification properties. Using a mixer or homogenizer, amino silicone oil is easily emulsified into stable, transparent microemulsions with appropriate surfactants. It can be used alone or combined with other silicone or organic softeners to become a special softening finishing agent, which is suitable for softening the finishing of various textiles. The ammonia value of amino liquid silicone oil is between 0.2 and 1.2. The higher the ammonia value, the better the softness and smoothness, but the greater the light change.

Ⅱ. Characteristics of amino silicone oil

1. Excellent soft, smooth and even feel.

2. It can enhance the tear strength and wrinkle resistance of the fabric.

3. It can improve the elasticity of the fabric.

4. It is washable and is resistant to dry clean.

5. It is easy to emulsify and can be made into stable micro emulsion.

6. It has excellent compoundability and is compatible with most organic softeners and other textile auxiliaries.

Ⅲ. Preparation method of amino silicone oil

Aminoalkylsilane is prepared by reacting cyanopropylmethyldichlorosilane (or alkoxysilane), chloropropylmethyldichlorosilane (or alkoxysilane) with diethylamine, then hydrolyzed with diethylamine and the amino silicone fluid, such as methyl silicone fluids, can be obtained by the copolymerization with cyclotetrasiloxane.

Ⅳ. Application of amino silicone oil

Amino silicone oil is an emulsion made by adding an emulsifier. It is often used as a fiber fabric treatment agent, which can significantly improve the softness, wrinkle resistance, elasticity and tear strength. It is also used as polishing agent for instruments and furniture, paper treatment agent, coating antifreeze and metal rust and corrosion inhibitor. In addition, amino silicone oil can also be used as a compounding agent for hair oil, hair wax and other hairdressing products, making hair soft and shiny.
